GM Oleh Romanyšyn
There are two months left from the registration deadline and two and a half months from the start of the tournament, june 8, the International chess open Acqui Terme has all ready reached about 50 players from 9 Federation.
Among the most interesting names is the Ukrainian GM Oleh Romanyšyn, a great friend of Turin and Arco, winner of important tournaments since the mid-70s. For those who want to know more.

And then it's nice to see Alberto Pulito from Turin return to the chess competition. Alberto won 4 Italian junior titles and took part in 4 World Championships and 2 European Championships (all in the junior category). He represented Italy with Elena Sedina at the Mediterranean Games and was called up twice to the Italian teams present at the Mitropa Cup and as a member of Italia 3 at the 2006 Turin Olympiad.

Ovviamente il piatto forte della settimana 8/16 giugno saranno i 3 tornei internazionali con le partite on line ma, come sanno i giocatori che seguono da anni i nostri sforzi organizzativi, questo per noi non è mai sufficiente quindi proporremo alcune iniziative per arricchire ulteriormente questo periodo.
Ci saranno, sempre nella sede del torneo, due tornei lampo con inizio alle 21.30: il primo Lunedì 10 e il secondo Venerdì 14 con premi in prodotti del territorio. A questi tornei potranno partecipare anche giocatori esterni all’Open Internazionale.
L’Enoteca Regionale ci verrà a trovare nel pomeriggio di mercoledì 12 per proporre l’assaggio di alcuni vini locali.
La classica simultanea in “Piazza della Bollente” sarà alle 21 di giovedì 13. Non sappiamo ancora quale GM fra i partecipanti darà la sua disponibilità, ma sappiamo che i posti per gli sfidanti saranno una ventina.
